Bob Blackwell or "Old Cowboy" Gaited Horse Clinics
In addition to the "Hoss Logic" PHD method of training, I also teach gaited horse clinics across the USA.  These  are primarily problem solving clinics which can include information on bits, some round pen work and a horse shoeing workshop.  Participants, gaited horse owners and riders,  are asked to answer a questionaire in  advance of the clinic as to what they would like to learn from the instructor. Then,  as the clinician, I  tailor my lessons to fit the needs and questions of these participants. These clinics are not the same as the "Hoss Logic" Practical Horsemanship Training workshops taught to students in the "Hoss Logic" PHD  training program.

Among the topics which have been discussed im my gaited clinics are :

1) methods of achieving the proper gait from the horse by riding properly,
2) my philosophy of breeding, when to geld,
3) overview of  imprinting techniques, good techniques in round pen training, early ground training for young colts,
4) ways to train outside of a round pen that work and trail horse training,
5) the relationship of bits to gait, how the different bits are designed to work, and the importance of using the right bit.
5) horse history and tales from old timers, older horses
6) hoof and health care maintenance programs,
7) hoofmanship for the layman, is your farrier doing the job you have asked him to do,
8) how to tell if your horse hooves are trimmed to be level,
9) shoeing for gait.
10) Be kind to your horse

These are just some of the topics likely to be covered in my gaited horse clinics. These clinics are designed to be informative, entertaining, and supportive. If any of these subjects interest you, you may wish to participate in a Bob Blackwell Gaited Clinic to get aquainted with general information on these subjects.

However, if you want more detailed knowledge and a deeper understanding of these and other subjects you may wish to participate in a Bob Blackwell "Hoss Logic" Practical Horsemanship Training and/or Hoofmanship (shoeing)training facility or workshop. If there are none in your area you may wish to request and coordinate one for your area. For information in participation about these clinics or workshops or to coordinate a workshop for your area using this method contact Bob Blackwell:
